Cloud Nine

We had our combined branch talent show this Friday! SO fun! And tons of people came. It was way stressful and it´s a miracle that it all worked out, but so worth all the work and stress. :)

My camera died so I´ll send a pic of it next week!

This week was SO awesome. I thought my heart was going to burst with happiness on Sunday. The entire Sanchez family came to church and took up a whole row of chairs. It was the coolest thing to see them all sitting together as a family. I was dying of happiness. Haha

Then Guiana. Oh my. She slept on the floor by the door Saturday night so she would hear us when we came to pick her up for church. How cute is that?! Last week we and the Remirez family stopped by to pick her up but everyone was sleeping so she didn´t come and she was sad. It´s so cool because her Aunt Hermana Remirez is a member so she can hang out with her cousin at church and it´s not scary for her.

The little Remirez girl sings Adele perfectly in English. So she sang Adele to us, cutest thing in the world, and then we wrote down our favorite songs for her to look up and learn in English. As a missionary, should I have written a church song? :/ Haha  #convertingargentina #Taylorswift

Gabriel came to church too!

This week we saw the biggest snake of my life. Not in a cage. Just wild. PANIC.

Don´t forget to say your prayers!

Air Conditioning

I´m with Sarah on the whole "the oven only has 1 temperature" thing. Ha ha. I attached a picture of the cookies that we made. They still tasted the same. :)

We FINALLY got our air conditioning fixed. Best. Day. Ever. And probably the biggest milagro and blessing of the whole week.

Oh my word. And guess who came to church!?! Gabriel! We decided that if he didn´t come to church this week we were going to have to drop him. But no worries. He´s gonna get baptized on the 8th!

Also, we met and started teaching Guiana this week. She is the cutest little girl ever!! Tiene 9 anos. I love teaching little kids. It´s so fun! And simple. And they just get it. And their questions are sincere, and they really want to know stuff. I LOVE IT.

As a zone, we have a goal to visit 2 miembros cada dia. So we´ve been trying really hard to do that and we can totally see the blessings! Guiana´s aunt, Hna. Remirez and her family are awesome members who have been helping us out a lot! We are also trying to get her sister back to church. Their family is SO COOL.

The Family Sanchez came to church on Sunday too!! Milagros guys. I´m telling you. We´ve been trying to help them get to church since DAY ONE. It´s so cool because they get it now. They understand that if they want the blessings, they have to come to church. It´s sad that they´ve been missing out on all those blessings that they need, but esta bien porque ahora ellos pueden recibir tons of blessings!

We are planning a Talent show for the 2 ramas on Friday. So that´s kind of exciting. We haven´t decided what talents we are going to do yet, but we are stoked!

AND We´ve been praying for rain because, you guys probably didn´t know, but, it´s SUPER hot here. :) This week we found out our roof leaks water when it rains really hard. SO that´s exciting too! ha ha! Milagros.

I love you guys so much! I´m so blessed to have amazing family and friends!

Levantanse

Ok, so we met a girl that is from Rhode Island!! We were talking to someone in Spanish and she stopped us and was like, "Are you guys from the US?" I was super surprised to hear someone speak to us in English.

She´s an exchange student and she´s been here for a year so she can speak Spanish. We got to talk to her and teach her. It was SO cool. The actual lesson was a little bumpy because it was SO HARD to teach in English. There were actually some parts that I HAD to teach in Spanish because I couldn´t remember or think of the words in English.

The coolest part was when we were talking about Joseph Smith. I think that´s the first time I´ve ever taught about Joseph Smith in English. Well, half in English haha but the spirit was so strong!

I have such a strong testimony that Joseph Smith is a prophet of God. I know that just like Joseph Smith we can pray y preguntar a Dios si la Iglesia es verdadera. I know God listens and answers prayers. We might not have a miraculous vision like Joseph Smith, but we can receive answers through the scriptures, attending church and por medio el Espiritu Santo.

Sunday mornings are always busy! We are calling everyone reminding them about church and then we go around to the houses of our investigators to pick them up and walk with them. We literally run around from house to house banging on their doors trying to wake them up.

This week we were a little more persistent than usual. Poor Gabriel. We are just super persistent. We called him so many times and when he didn´t answer we ran over to his house and started banging on the door. Woke up a couple of neighbors. When he still didn´t answer we started banging on the window right over his bed, and my companion was yelling, "Gabriel! Lavantase!!"

Life of a missionary. Waking people up for church.

Church is SO important. Not only is it a commandment, but it´s a privilege to partake en la Santa Cena. This next week try to bring someone to church! Wake 'em up!

Love you guys!!
